Barcelona is a vibrant city that offers a plethora of activities for people of all ages but if you're traveling there with your toddler, here is a toddler friendly 5 day Barcelona Itinerary. With so much to see and do, planning a trip can be overwhelming, especially when traveling with young children. That's why we've put together this 5-day itinerary filled with toddler-friendly activities, playgrounds, indoor play areas, ice cream shops, and restaurants that are sure to keep the whole family happy.
Here is a Toddler-Friendly 5 Day Barcelona Itinerary
Day 1
Start your day with a visit to Parc de la Ciutadella. It's a beautiful park with a playground and a lake with rowboats. There you can also find the Barcelona Zoo. Grab lunch at El Mercat de la Boqueria, a lively market with an array of food options. Spend the afternoon at the beach and take a stroll on the boardwalk. End the day with a visit to the colorful and whimsical Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, which offers a stunning light and water show.
Day 2
Visit the Barcelona Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, with a variety of sea creatures to see. Head over to the Barceloneta neighborhood for lunch, and then check out the many playgrounds in the area, such as Parc de la Barceloneta and Parc de la Barceloneta. In the afternoon, explore the Gothic Quarter and its narrow streets filled with cafes, shops, and street performers.
Day 3
Start the day with a visit to Park Güell, which is a whimsical park designed by famed architect Antoni Gaudí. The park features mosaics, sculptures, and breathtaking views of the city. Head to Plaça de la Vila de Gracia for lunch, and spend some time enjoying the sights This is a good time for a toddler let walk. Follow that with a visit to the Jardins de la Torre de les Aigües, an indoor playground with slides, ball pits, and more. End the day with a delicious ice cream treat from Vioko Gelato.
Day 4
Spend the morning at CosmoCaixa, a science museum with interactive exhibits, a planetarium, and a rainforest ecosystem. For lunch, head to La Porchetta, a pizzeria with a great selection of pizzas and pasta dishes. Spend the afternoon at Parc del Laberint d'Horta, a beautiful park with a hedge maze and a small lake.
Day 5
Start the day with a visit to the Barcelona Zoo, located in the heart of the city. For lunch, head to La Tagliatella, a family-friendly Italian restaurant and has a varied menu. Spend the afternoon at Tibidabo Amusement Park, and let your toddler enjoy the kiddie rides. There are also puppet shows, and a petting zoo. End your trip with a final visit to the boardwalk to watch the sunset.
