It's also a good idea to familiarize yourself with the airport layout and facilities. Knowing wether (and where) your local (or layover) airport has family restrooms can make your trip a lot smoother. Another amenity that is very useful is the  children's play area. We use this website to find our what amenities are available at our airport ahead of time.

Pack Wisely:

Pack a small carry-on bag with essentials such as snacks, toys, and a change of clothes for your child. Bring a few extra diapers and wipes too, just in case. Pack a few of your child's favorite snacks and some new treats to keep them entertained. Don't forget to bring a sippy cup or water bottle for your child to drink from, as well as a change of clothes for both you and your child.

Bring Activities:

Pack some small toys, books, or games to keep your child entertained during the flight. Also, bring some new activities or toys that your child has not seen before, to keep them entertained and interested. Don't forget to download some kid-friendly games and videos on your phone or tablet for in-flight entertainment.

Toddlers can be unpredictable, so be prepared for anything. Be flexible and be prepared to adjust your plans if your child gets tired, hungry, or needs a diaper change. Also, be prepared for unexpected delays and cancellations, as they happen more often than we would like.
