One thing we swear by is packing it inside a carrying bag and then padding it with extra diapers to protect it from being thrown around and getting damaged.

If you're traveling by taxi or ride-sharing service, book a car seat-equipped vehicle. A lot of cities offer Ubers or their equivalent that already come with car seats. This ensures that your child has a safe and secure car seat for the journey.
